Molecular markers as a tool for genetic identity verification and DNA fingerprinting of forest varieties
Abstract
The inspection and certification process carried out by INASE regarding forest species propagation material is based on accurate identification through various methods. In the case of specific varieties, morphological recognition is often insufficient; therefore, molecular techniques are employed. DNA markers allow for identification at the genetic level, thereby eliminating the potential bias of environmental influence on morphological observations.
