Fungal Diversity (Micromycetes) in Horticultural Crop Soils Under Family-Based Production Systems in Florencio Varela, Buenos Aires Province
Keywords:
Fungi, soil, diversity, horticultural cropsAbstract
Fungi play a key role in ecosystem maintenance, which is why they are considered essential in the assessment and conservation processes of agri-food systems and natural environments. Soil serves as a major fungal reservoir, comprising a wide variety of microhabitats that promote diverse fungal communities; this diversity, in turn, contributes to soil health. In this context, a study was conducted to quantitatively and qualitatively characterize fungal diversity in soils from horticultural crop plots. The results of this characterization are presented in this work.
