Abstract

First survey of Heteroptera’s diversity (Hemiptera) in cultivation of "chía" (Salvia
hispanica L, 1753) in the province of Buenos Aires.”
A list of 8 species of Hemiptera Heteroptera found on an experimental chia cultivation
in San Justo, La Matanza Department, province of Buenos Aires, is presented. All
these species are mentioned for the first time as being associated with chia cultivation.
The importance of each of these species on this crop is discussed in each case.
Rhinacloa forticornis Reuter 1876 is cited for the first time for the province of Buenos
Aires.
