Preliminary list and evaluation of the Heteroptera (HEMIPTERA) found in vine crops and peripheral areas in Mendoza, Argentina

A preliminary list of Heteroptera (Hemiptera) species associated with vineyards in Mendoza is made. The value of the presence there of each species and its potential importance is explained. The 16 species that are mentioned for the first time for the province are also highlighted, as follows: Orius pallidus (Poppius, 1909) (Anthocoridae), Apiomerus bosqi Costa Lima, Campos Seabra and Hathaway, 1952 (Reduviidae), Ceratocapsus wygodzinskyi Carvalho and Fontes, 1983, Araucanocoris fusconotatus Carvalho, 1983, Dijocaria oculata Carvalho and Carpintero, 1991, Phytocoris comechingon Carpintero and Chérot, 2008 and Carpinteroa patagonica Carvalho and Carpintero, 1990 (Miridae), Xyonysius major (Berg, 1878) (Lygaeidae), Pseudopachybrachius vinctus (Say, 1831) (Rhyparochromidae), Amnestus lautipennis (Stål, 1860) and Amnestus pusio (Stål, 1860) (Cydnidae), Acledra modesta (Stål, 1859), Chinavia australis (Rolston, 1983) and Thyanta (Argosoma) boliviensis Rider, 1991 (Pentatomidae), Zicca stali Berg, 1878 (Coreidae) and Liorhyssus hyalinus (F., 1794) (Rhopalidae).
