Waste management in a laboratory of university academic unit

Abstract

The generation of waste produced in research and teaching laboratories must comply with existing regulations. Through methodological aspects based on the environmental audit scheme, and starting from a problem situation given by the transfer of the Laboratory of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, located in the “Forest” headquarters, to the new location in the UNLZ University Campus, solid waste management of the unit was weighed, drawing conclusions and recommendations, which can serve as a basis as a management protocol in the new Laboratory that is under construction.
