Albizia inundata is an autochthonous tree of the Fabaceae family that is distributed throughout a wide region of South America. In the province of Buenos Aires it is cited for certain sites of the Paraná Delta, with few records in the lower Delta. In 2019 the authors identified an adult specimen growing in the marginal forest of the Avellaneda coast, where the “Eco Area” Municipal Natural Reserve currently operates, 190 km to the southeast of the southern limit cited in the specialized bibliography. There are no previous records about the presence of this species in the area of the banks of the Río de La Plata and, therefore, the interesting finding is published here, in order to document a possible strategy of the species that allows it to establish itself. in territories marginal to its core area, or a relic case of larger ancient populations.
