Abstract

One of the most studied biological control agents (BCAs) worldwide is Trichoderma spp., a microorganism capable of interfering with the life processes of fungal pathogens. The use of Trichoderma as a BCA contributes to improving the health, yield, and safety of agricultural products, as well as reducing the environmental impact caused by the frequent use of chemical products for pest and disease control. In this context, this technical note describes the stages from the isolation and selection of Trichoderma strains to their artisanal production on a solid substrate. This production can be carried out by family farmers to ensure the production of healthy and safe food.
